Generators and General Positions of 2D Crystallographic Point Groups

This program permits the access to the generators and the general positions for a given two-dimensional crystallographic point group.

• Input

a) To get the generatos and the general positions, one has to select a point group from the table with the symbols of the eleven two-dimensional crystallographic point groups.

b) To get a table with the geometrical interpretation of the eleven two-dimensional crystallographic point groups symmetry operations one has to click on the link at the bottom of the table.



• Output

a) Once the point group is chosen a table is shown with the information about the general positions. To get the information about the generatos one has to click in the link.

b) A table with the symbols of the 11 two-dimensional crystallographic groups is shown and the geometrical interpretation of their symmetry operations in Seitz notation.
